The incredible and sad story of the candid Laurie and her desperate parents

Once upon a time there was a girl named Laurie Smith.

She seemed like a regular girl on the outside, but after her fifteenth birthday, strange things started to happen to her…

Her family was very worried about her behaviour because she didn’t go out and she was always in her room.

Her parents, trying to change her behaviour, decided to move to a country where the good weather, the sea and the beaches helped her daughter to act differently.

Unfortunately her behaviour didn’t change at all, but got worse and she started talking to herself. After this failure Laurie’s parents thought that may be a psychologist could be the solution…

The psychologist was crazy so he couldn’t help.

Faced with this desperate situation, they decided that their last opportunity was going to a small Brazilian village to see a very well known wizard.

After some clouds of smelly smoke and some break dances, Kramnik the wizard said: “girl to go Africa, to meet friend of Kramnik and then to go and to look for lion King of Jungle, to take 2 hairs of his mane and to eat them at dawn”.

Having arrived in Zambia and contacted with the tribe that Kramnik recommended, the candid Laurie together with her father and mother started to look for the lion, with the help of Kunta Kinte, the young son of King Africa, who was a very brave warrior and a very skilled hunter.

After long journeys and some amusing, as well as some dangerous adventures, they found “Pussy Cat” the king of the jungle, a very impressive, majestic, blond lion, who after some hesitation agreed to donate two of his hairs, to contribute to Laurie’s psychological recovery.

After a few trials, Laurie could finally swallow the two blond hairs and became as formal, methodical and organized, in one word, as candid as she was before her 15^th birthday.

Her parents were so happy that they went back home but forgot Laurie in the African jungle.

Laurie, far from being worried about her parents’ shameful behaviour, stayed with Kunta and both were happy and ate partridges.
